Who and what is the Free Syrian Army (FSA), which is the group that is fighting alongside Turkish troops in the ongoing Operation Olive Branch. Although the FSA was labeled as a terror organization by Turkey's main opposition party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan likened the group to Turkey's Nationalist Forces, who were the irregular Turkish forces in the early period of the Turkish War of Independence.
