Guatemala's Pacaya Volcano continues 'high levels' of activity with strong eruptions, ash clouds, and rivers of lava spewing out. But its eruption does not prevent people from enjoying weird and unusual activities around it. The 2,500-meter volcano that lies 25 kilometers to the south of Guatemala City has been erupting for 50 days, damaging plantations in the path of the lava. The country's civil protection body has asked authorities to prohibit people from approaching either the crater or the lava flows due to the risk of falling debris. Anadolu Agency Video News (AAVN) videoed some people trying to use the eruption as a chance to get their perfect selfie, and roasting marshmallows over volcano lava on Sunday (Mar. 28). While getting close to the lava is dangerous enough, the people ignored that volcano vents emit chemical compounds like sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, which would alter the taste of a sugary sweet marshmallow.
