A landlord in Turkey’s Istanbul attacked the home of his Syrian tenant with an ax after they refused to pay the exorbitant rise in rent. According to claims, the landlord wanted to raise his tenant’s rent to 4,000 Turkish liras from 1,200, and bashed the door of his tenant in a fit of rage when they weren’t home, shocking social media users.
