Brazil street art gets World Cup flavour as soccer mania grips

Amidst the buzz of the World Cup in Russia, Brazil's street artists have taken to the cities walls and footpaths, spray cans and paintbrushes in hand. New paintings have sprung up in Rio de Janeiro along its iconic shoreline, many of which are positive and focus on the patriotic support. For many locals, these displays of green and yellow are a welcome relief for a country recovering from one of its worst recessions in decades.
