Waterspout occurs in Türkiye's northwestern Duzce province

A waterspout occurred off the coast of Türkiye's northwestern Duzce province on Monday. The local people recorded the waterspout, which occurred approximately 4 kilometers away from the beach, with their mobile phones. The waterspout, which was effective for about 10 minutes, disappeared before reaching land. Although waterspouts and tornadoes are not common in Türkiye, they have started to be seen occasionally in recent years.
