UN agency warns of malnutrition crisis amongst Rohingya population

United Nation's World Food Programme (WFP) said on Wednesday the Rohingya community who have fled to Bangladesh risk suffering a serious malnutrition crisis. An estimated 609,000 people are reported to have crossed the border from Myanmar into Bangladesh since August 25, according to the humanitarian organisation, Inter Sector Coordination Group. The U.N. agency said united action amongst all humanitarian organisations on the ground in Bangladesh would be the only way a deepening malnutrition crisis could be avoided.
