Uighur families protest outside Chinese embassy in Ankara

Uighurs living in Turkey on Wednesday staged a sit-in outside the Chinese Embassy in Ankara demanding to know the condition of their family members held at concentration and forced labor camps in China. Last December, nearly 100 people gathered peacefully outside the Chinese Consulate in Istanbul and protested for 18 days. They said they had not heard from their families since 2017.
