Turkish troops brave snow, mud at Kato peak

Turkish troops braved snow and mud in their fight against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists at the previously-out-of-bounds Mount Kato, a mountainous region used by the terrorists to infiltrate the Turkish border from neighboring Iraq. The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) recently hoisted the national flag atop Mount Kato. The operation at the 2,900-meter peak has been ongoing for seven months.
