Rohingya Muslims beaten by Myanmar police

Myanmar has detained four police officers following the release of a video that shows the police officers beating a group of Rohingya Muslims. The arrests came after a video was shared on YouTube by a social media activist and the video was later broadcast on television channels. In the video, a group of Muslims were seen watching in fear while some of the police officers were beating people one by one. One of the policemen was kicking a Rohingya Muslim in the face. It comes several weeks after Amnesty International said it has documented the military's “vicious and disproportionate” security campaign in northern Rakhine state where security forces violated human rights by killing, raping and burning down the houses of entire villages.
