Rohingya children desperate for food, health care, education assistance
Providing Rohingya refugee children with nutritious food, proper healthcare and education has been a growing challenge in Bangladesh's camps. Refugees wait in long lines to get food at distribution points set up by aid agencies. Many people in line are unaccompanied children. They usually have to stand for hours, though they are not guaranteed to get the food and resources they require as the number of people in need rises. More than 800,000 Rohingyas have fled Myanmar for Bangladesh, and three of every five Rohingya refugees are children. There are at least 1,000 families that have unaccompanied children, which means their parents were either killed or lost on the way.
