Protests continue after police shooting of young man in Albania

Albanian protesters on Friday (Dec. 11) continued their protest over the police shooting of a man who breached coronavirus curfew. Hundreds of protesters defied a government ban on public gatherings of more than 10 people, demanded the resignation of the Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj. Many of the angry demonstrators threw stones and flares at police as tried to force their way into the interior ministry. The police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters.
