Protesters clash with security forces in Iraq as unrest heats up

Clashes between protesters and security forces left almost 17 civilians in danger of suffocation during the ongoing anti-government demonstrations in Iraq. It was reported that security forces were using gas bombs and live rounds while protesters were threw stones in response. At least 319 protesters have been killed and thousands injured in anti-government demonstrations throughout Iraq since Oct. 1.
