A new anthem called “Aslan Mehmed'im” was released by the General Command of the Turkish Gendarmerie, paying tribute to the bravery displayed by its forces during Turkey's Operation Olive Branch, which was launched to clear the northwestern Syrian region of Afrin from terrorist elements. The anthem was originally a poem written by Turkish poet Ramazan Pamuk.
