New aerial footage of the Anak Krakatau volcano in Indonesia, filmed on Sunday (January 13) revealed the extent of its collapse in December last year, when an eruption caused a massive tsunami in the Sunda Strait. The volcano lost more than two-thirds of its height after the eruption, when it collapsed from its original 338 metres to a mere 110 metres, resulting in waves of up to five metres that crashed into coasts in western Java and southern Sumatra, killing 437 people.
