A special art museum has opened in Colombia's capital Bogota featuring floor tiles constructed entirely out of rebel weapons marking the end of the country's conflict which spanned half a century. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed or hurt in the war which continued from 1964 until 2016, with a number of paramilitary and guerrilla warfare groups such as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia fighting it out. After an inspection by the United Nations (UN), the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, which was the largest anti-government group, handed over some 9,000 weapons in 2017.
