KRG referendum ‘null and void’ for Turkey: President Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the International Ombudsman conference criticized the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) decision on a non-binding independence referendum. “Regardless of the results, the referendum, which does not conform to the current law in Iraq, is null and void for us. It is illegitimate,” Erdoğan said.
