A five-year-old boy of Iranian origin, yet a United States citizen, was briefly handcuffed at Dulles Airport in Washington following President Donald Trump's order restricting entry into the United States for people from seven Muslim-majority nations. The boy, who was identified by Senator Chris Van Hollen as a US citizen who lives in Maryland, was detained at Washington DC's Dulles airport on Saturday. In a briefing tonight, Donald Trump's Press Secretary Sean Spicer said: “To assume that just because of someone's age and gender that they don't pose a threat would be misguided and wrong.” A video was released just after the incident, showing the touching moment of the mother hugging and kissing her son after the hours-long detention. On Friday, United States President Donald Trump signed an executive order to halt admission of refugees from Syria and the entry of people from six other Muslim-majority countries. The ban was followed by protests that broke out at John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York and several other airports across the U.S.
