Eastern Ghouta baby becomes Syrian symbol of resistance

An infant lost his mother and his left eye in an attack coordinated last month by the Assad regime in Eastern Ghouta, Syria. Two-month-old Karim became a symbol of resistance as social media users in Eastern Ghouta and around the world expressed their support for Karim posting pictures covering one of their eyes.
