'Catwalk' construction of Turkey's enormous new bridge nears end

Turkey's construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is continuing full-speed ahead, with the 'Catwalk,' the temporary work rope and platform, almost complete. The bridge, also known as the Canakkale Strait Bridge, is a suspension bridge being constructed in the northwestern Canakkale province of Turkey. Situated just south of the towns of Lapseki and Gelibolu, the bridge will span the Dardanelles strait, about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) south of the Sea of Marmara.
