Campers delight as volcano erupts in France's Reunion Island

The Piton de la Fournaise volcano erupted in France's Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean for a fifth day on Thursday (May 4), delighting hikers who climbed near the surface to watch the lava flow. A team of scientists from the Volcanology Observatory trekked to a restricted area to take samples of the magma, which could heat up to 1,000 degrees celsius (1832 degrees fahrenheit).
