Balloons soar for toddler who died after legal battle over care

Mourners for Alfie Evans, the 23-month-old British toddler whose grave illness drew international attention and was the subject of a court tussle over his care, gathered to release balloons on Saturday (April 28), hours after his father said he had died. Alfie had a rare, degenerative disease and had been in a semi-vegetative state for more than a year.
