At least 48 dead after bus careens off cliff in Peru

At least 48 people were killed in Peru when a bus collided with a truck and careened off a cliff along a sharply curving highway north of the capital, Lima on Tuesday. The accident took place on the Panamericana Norte highway near the area of Pasamayo, north of Lima. The death toll could rise because the bus had been carrying as many as 40 passengers.
