Rare triple sun shines in China

A rare celestial illusion of triple suns occurred in the sky over Hailun, in northeast China on Monday morning. The sun, accompanied by two smaller twins, suddenly popped up in the sky, and the triple suns appeared. The astronomic name of the illusion is parhelion, which is formed under specific conditions that rarely occur simultaneously, including stable atmosphere, clouds, lots of steam and particular angles shaped on ice crystals.
