Raqqa faces costly reconstruction after liberation is reached

The city of Raqqa, Daesh's de facto capital in Syria, has suffered untold destruction over the past few years, with most buildings flattened by airstrikes and the city's infrastructure almost completely destroyed, leaving behind a colossal and costly task of reconstruction. Lining the streets of Raqqa are concrete skeletons and piles of grey dust as the remnants of damaged roads and houses are strewn across the streets.
