Mountains covered with orange snow surprised skiers in Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Moldavia all weekend, starting Friday (March 23). Videos and stills uploaded to social media showed the rare phenomenon where snow was coloured with an orange shade. According to media, sand from the Sahara desert storms, combined with snow and rain is what caused this view.
