Meet Aleppo’s Abu Hurairah, father of the cats

Muhammed Alaa al-Jaleel decided to stay in Syria and feed street cats. Al-Jaleel, who lives in Aleppo, distributes the food he collects to the cats every day. Al-Jaleel has been deemed as Abu Hurairah, or the Father of Cats, after the companion of Prophet Muhammad who was also known to tend to felines.
