High temperatures and low water levels turn lake in Turkey pink

Meyil Obruk lake in Turkey's Konya has turned pink due a combination of low water levels and high temperatures. Scientists say the colour change of the lake which is normally deep blue is because of a massive build-up of bacteria. Bacteria are thriving in the salty lake water which is one kilometer in diameter and 40 meters deep.
