A huge crocodile, over 17 feet long, was stuck in a canal just off the Nilwala river, rescued and returned to the main river. It was carefully transported by a small truck and then, under the supervision of wildlife officials and a bulldozer digger which made sure the crocodile didn't stray towards the on lookers, it was shown the river path and gradually walked down to and swam into the river.
