Egypt’s disability stigma confronted

While two to three percent of Egypt's population is disabled, the fact that they are often excluded from society and deprived of the help they need is disturbing. Ghada Tosson and Hoda Abdelkhalek, who are both experiencing the struggles of having mentally disabled children, are now happy with the progress they are making regarding the perceptions and the administrations of mentally disabled people. There are few organizations whose objective it is to improve the life of mentally disabled children and adolescents.
