A disabled Syrian girl from Syria's Aleppo, who was born without limbs, abandoned her makeshift tin can legs as she tried her new prosthetics for the first time after being flown to Istanbul. Eight-year-old Maya Merhi, who has a congenital disorder, was brought to Turkey's Istanbul for the life-changing operation. The Turkish Red Crescent and Prosthetic Specialist Mehmet Zeki Çulcu hope Maya will be able to walk with her new prosthetics in three months' time.
