Baby boy's body pulled from water near Brooklyn Bridge

A baby rescued from the East River near the Brooklyn Bridge Sunday (August 5) was pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. Authorities offered no details about how the baby ended up in the water, and there are no signs of the baby's parents, media reports said. A tourist spotted the baby in the water and her husband retrieved the child while she called authorities.
