Trapped kittens rescued from pipe in Italy

Italian firefighters used their inventiveness and patience to save three kittens trapped in a plastic pipe. The tiny creatures had fallen into a plastic pipe over a meter and a half long and a few centimeters wide, but firefighters managed to get them out safely using strings and smaller pipes. Some children who were playing nearby had heard the kittens meowing and alerted their parents before emergency services came to the rescue. The rescue has lasted about an hour but the fire-fighters, after making sure that the little cats were not injured, eventually returned them to their mother.
