Wildlife officials tranquilized a 140 pound female mountain lion on Monday after it was spotted roaming residential yards in Azusa, California. Authorities received a call at around dawn alerting them to its presence of the cat. Wildlife officials initially hoped the animal would return to the San Gabriel Mountains foothills, but later decided to tranquilize the animal three hours later at approximately 9:30am (1630 GMT), Azusa Police Sergeant Erin Coulter said. No children or animals were harmed.
