While Muscovites dug their cars out of snowdrifts and navigated pavements resembling obstacle courses, animals at the city's zoo enjoyed a day out in the snow. Polar bears frolicking in the snow, walruses plunging into icy water, penguins taking a stroll along the zoo's pond and seals playing ball with the keepers did not mind snowdrifts and freezing temperatures.
