‘Elite’ sheep of Şanlıurfa get early summer bath

Meticulously grown "awassi" sheep are gathering on a pasture after being shorn and washed for better growing and to keep them cool at Ceylanpinar Agriculture Administration of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry General Directorate of Agriculture (TİGEM) in Şanlıurfa southeastern Turkey on April 25, 2018. The Awassi evolved as a nomadic sheep breed through centuries of natural and selective breeding to become the highest milk producing breed in the Middle East.
