Refugees sew their lips shut, call hunger strike in protest over border tightening

A group of refugees and migrants barred from crossing the Greece-Macedonia border protest the decision by sewing their lips up with nylon <br><br> Stranded migrants on Greece's northern border with Macedonia protested against a policy to close the border to some of them, while others are allowed into Macedonia by security officials. <br><br> One of the migrants had his lips sewn together with nylon in front of lines of Macedonian riot police and declared a hunger strike to protest the discrimination. The man, who is said to come from Iran, started sitting in protest at the border line with his mouth sewn shut. <br><br>
