Turkish citizens have taken to the streets to show their support to democracy and the democratically elected government more than a week after the coup attempt by the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ/PDY) that left 246 people dead. The demonstrations were held in a large number of Turkish cities, particularly Istanbul, Ankara, Samara, Sinop, Mardin, Çanakkale, Kastamonu, Yalova, Eskişehir, Zonguldak, Edirne, Kırklareli among many others. Across Turkey, the citizens chanted against the FETÖ/PDY terrorist organization, shouting that "Gülen will give an account of what he has done so far."<br><br>
