The attack that transpired in Gaziantep on Friday night once again showed us that Turkey's enemies have no rules or moral values. The attack being committed on civilians, especially during a wedding, clearly shows us that the aim of the terrorism we face is to destabilize our country.
Turkey faced many attempts of destabilization before 2013, too. However, after 2013, there has been an absolute alliance between economic and political terrorism to destabilize Turkey. Moreover, this time they are resorting to all paths within this alliance.
We sometimes come across intentional discourse such as, “our freedoms are under threat,” in selling it to the West, or the Dec. 17 and Dec. 25 judicial coup attempt or bragging on about an “economic crisis,” in an effort to destabilize Turkey.
With the failure of the July 15 coup attempt, the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) is now replaced outright by terrorism.
However, despite all this effort, Turkey continues to hold its political and economic stability in the region with the exertion of strong economic indicators, with the strong leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the positive and hopeful attitude and support of the nation.
After FETÖ's failed coup attempt on July 15, this time we recognize different elements in the picture. These economy hitmen will try to continue their attempts to siege and hold Turkey under their control both within and without.
Foreign financial institutions, credit rating institutions and their owners-partners and fund owners are all insistent on continuing the negative perception they have created against Turkey.
Just recently the Fitch credit rating institution changed Turkey's rating to negative (despite not changing its credit note.) This incident clearly shows that the negative perception management against Turkey is ongoing. And what's more is that this happens while Fitch is a rating institution that has an agreement with Turkey.
While this is happening on the outside, FETÖ, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and Daesh are working in an effort to create a chaotic environment in Turkey.
Why have they united in terrorism against Turkey, which has preserved its social dynamics as well as its economic and political ones? Why have they conducted their terror attacks in important centers like Van, Diyarbakır, Elazığ and Gaziantep?
The reason is evident. They intend to create a chaotic environment in Turkey, to break the peace of the people and create economic and political instability.
Does it really matter that these terror organizations have different names like FETÖ, PKK, Daesh? Their names might be different, but their codes and purposes are the same.
It seems like they are on a shift system, one launches when the other has completed its mission.
Well, what can we do against this terror alliance never before seen in Turkey's history?
We are going to continue on our path without giving way to despair
The best answer to give any inside or outside enemy that aims to push Turkey into instability (including FETÖ, the PKK, and Daesh) is to continue this phase that aims to achieve prosperity, development and welfare in Turkey.
Turkey will write its economy story with the projects it implements, by not surrendering in the region (like in the past), by creating good relations with different countries in the region and by integrating and cooperating with these countries.
We know that there is a cost to be situated in this region. But besides this cost, Turkey has the potential to create new alliances with different poles in the region. Thus, this will bring great advantages to the country's economy.
Turkey ending the crisis with Russia and returning to the phase before the crisis after the July 15 coup attempt shows that many economic and political balances have changed.
One of the reasons the attacks on Turkey are increasing is Turkey improving its relations with Russia. Because, the dominant powers and the economic hitmen were aiming to isolate Turkey and drive it into a corner, so that it would surrender with the July 15 coup attempt. In other words, they do not want Turkey to be an economic or a political actor in the region.
However, with the support of the people, Turkey will be stronger in the region than ever before.
