If you say over and over again that your country has been invaded by immigrants just like U.S. President Trump does, and if you say that the immigrants are prone to commit crimes that means you also lay the groundwork for racist massacres. If you take a look at the proponents of “White America” you will see that this is the exact scene. In order to see how this scene is described, taking a look at “Breitbart News” is enough. The media mouthpiece of the Radical Right, the Trumpist “Breitbart News”, spares no effort to give immigrants who committed crimes a prominent place in their headlines. If you watch Breitbart, you would think that all the crimes committed in the country are carried out by “brown” immigrants.
In the manifesto penned by Brenton Tarrant, the perpetrator of the mosque massacre in New Zealand, there are references to the perpetrators of the White Supremacist massacres carried out in the U.S., Canada, and Norway. The language Tarrant uses resembles that of the Neo-Nazis in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. “White America” appears as “White Australia” in Australia, and “White New Zealand” in New Zealand. The European Neo-Nazis are using the same language as Tarrant’s.
Tarrant too, just like the other white supremacists, is using the term “White Massacre”. This term was first utilized in the novel titled “The Turner Diaries” written by William Luther Pierce in 1978. In the novel, the U.S. is described as a country ruled by a non-White minority that has taken over the government. The Whites start a race war and take back control of the U.S. and the rest of the world. This novel inspired many Neo-Nazi groups all over the world, including “The Order”. Timothy McVeigh, the perpetrator of the attack carried out in Oklahoma in 1995, which claimed the lives of 168 people, also turned out to be inspired by this novel.
One of the people who used the notion “White Massacre”, was David Lane who is a member of the “The Order”. The “White Massacre Manifesto” Lane wrote while he was in prison is one of the most popular texts used by the White Supremacists. There are also similar novels to those of “Turner Diaries” that were penned in Europe. The last example is the novel written by French author Michel Houellebecq in 2015, with the title “Soumission (Submission)”. The novel follows the events that occur after a Muslim of Algerian descent is elected as the President of France in 2022.
It is understood that Tarrant, who also claimed that Europe is under the threat of a “White Massacre”, planned and carried out his massacre on the basis of anti-Islamic sentiments. However, Muslims constitute only 1% of the population of New Zealand, while this number is only 2.6% in Australia. If we recall the things the killer wrote on his gun, we can conclude that he is a disciple of the vehement monk of the Crusades, Pierre L’Ermite.
While condemning the Mosque Massacre, Trump couldn’t even bring himself to describe it as “White Supremacist Terrorism”, and dismissed it as "a small group of people that have very, very serious problems". He even reiterated that the U.S. is facing an immigrant invasion as he vetoed a Congress decision which rejected the “National State of Emergency” that he had declared in order to build his Mexico Wall. In his manifesto, Tarrant described Trump as the “symbol of the reviving White Identity and common cause”. Meanwhile, Richard Cohen, the President of the “South Poverty Law Center” in Alabama which is monitoring White Supremacist attacks in the U.S., said the following:
“The barbarity in New Zealand once again shows that we are facing an international terrorist movement linked to the white supremacist ideology which has spread like a cancer in chatrooms all over the internet and social media networks.”
